Our original plant was built in one of Cair’os industrial zones (Abbassia) more than twenty-five years ago with the objective of producing jobbing type ferrous castings. The production line made assorted steel and stainless steel castings for various clients in the cement, heavy earth moving equipment, and automotive industries.

In 1985 GCF built a new 10,000m2 facility in Sharkia (50km North East of Cairo).The new facility included a foundry with an annual production capacity of 5000Tons, a 2000m2 machine shop, as well as a separate unit for hydrostatic testing and epoxy coating. The new facility is dedicated to producing ductile iron fittings, flanged pipes, valves, couplings and adapters up to 1800mm in diameter. GCF is the largest and most reputable supplier of such fittings in the Egyptian market, moreover it exports 25% of its current production to Europe and the Middle East.

In the year 2000 GCF built its third facility, a 6000m2 automatic FURAN NO BAKE foundry with an annual production capacity of 4000Tons. The newest facility is dedicated for producing valves DN80 – DN1000. With that new introduction GC’Fs total capacity for production of castings is approximately 10,000 Tons per annum. Today GCF is the Egyptian market leader of WPP products in Egypt and exports over 25% of its production to Europe and the Middle East. We have agents and distributors in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Emirates, and Syria. We are constantly striving to penetrate new markets.
